what is neoprene?
SN242 is a mercaptan modified chloroprene rubber with excellent adhesive strength and producod using a Nairit recipe and process technolongy. SN242 has a high crystallization rate and can be seen as an equivalent to the AD-20 grade from DuPont.
A. Properties and Characteristics
SN242 grade polyohloroprene has a fast rate of crystallization and its formulations exhibit high lnitial and uitimate bond strengths. Of the SN24x series, this grade has a medium viscosity, and has a much better solubility and homogoeneity than CR244. It can be used for light colored adhesives with adequate stability. Adhesive formulations besed on SN242 exhibit excellent film forming properties and rapid bond formation while the films are easily and safely processed for longer times. SN242 can be dissolved in toluene of mixed solvents. SN242 exhibits the good oil resistance, chemical resistance, ozone and aging resistance as well as the sunlight resistance, typical of polychloroprene.
